Been using nostr for a while via iris and amethyst but I don't have an idea what are the badges. How can I see them? Is it related to client if they are not visible? How to earn them? Any examples?

ATM they are more like a shinny new toys. Some people created badges for the first n people that joined their paid relay. Some are based by region, on hash tags, etc.
They are not visible in most clients yet but on the above site you can accept and manage your badges.
I'd suggest never sharing your nsec with a website so you might want to consider logging in with an app.
