Yeah, the world map is a key to understanding what is going on. Road safety is relatively well understood, and most developed nations (except the U.S.) are following up on the issue quite well. In the U.S. it's also a cultural phenomenon, people simply demand unsafe roads at the ballot, the same way they demand unsafe gun laws or unsafe food laws

Anyone reading this would think there are no speed limits anywhere. In Germany, some highways don’t have speed limits though.
