Bitcoin was ALWAYS going to have to bootstrap up from the people who needed it the most. Always. Satoshi new this. Everyone on bitcointalk new this before it became a mainstream topic.

We, as developed-worlders are just LUCKY to have any use at all for it before the developing world folks make it commonplace and destroy fiat currencies in the process.
