I got a robot vacuum+mop recently after years of not believing people that say that it “changed” their life.
They were right. It is amazing.
Does it drove around you home on its own? I always figure they would get stuck in corners or underneath chairs or something.
Also, I doubt robovaccuum can handle the level of mess my children produce. How does it do with mango chink covered flip flops?
My model is incredibly good at avoiding all the toys and trinkets of my cats, with only LiDAR. But there are better models with a full camera and AI that would (probably) avoid the mango chink covered flip flops lol.

yes, but norms are different for photorealistic images. the bolo tie itself is a blank from the silversmith's website. their customization software could not generate a preview with my logo, so I used an LLM to add the logo.

The threat levels are different for everyone/thing. If you're making stuff for yourself that's noncritical and on an isolated/firewalled computer, being careful with dependencies, you are probably fine. If you're making static pages/games for other people to use, while being conscious of your own security, I'd say that's okay too. When you start dealing with yours or other people's money and privacy, it only takes one small mistake to jeopardize that and LLMs are far from perfect. Best use for LLMs in money/privacy domains is not yolo vibing. The best use is making the code higher quality, more defensive, and more deeply scrutinized.
I think that's one reason why we see people pivoting to AI. Working on low threat level tech lets you vibe harder.

I may lose my job to AI in the future, but at this point in time, it has brought a lot of joy into my life. Today, I prompted Base44 to incorporate an image upload function into my Science folders. In the twinkling of an eye, it fulfilled my request. I then promptly uploaded a ChatGPT-generated image of the human respiratory system and got my son to try a related question. He got it wrong by the way. But I am unfazed because now that my app is flourishing, I am sure he will lock in the respiratory system in no time at all.
