two lessons:

  • I should get my sleep schedule back to aligning with peak SN hours
  • I should setup some kind of pager/alarm system to wake me

pager/alarm system

I have a non-muted ntfy (self-hosted) topic for that. Works okay, unless I am completely exhausted, then I just sleep through it all.

I mute my phone usually so I'll need a bypass or some kind of dedicated device.

There used to be an exclusion group (at least for contacts) on iPhone, but I haven't used one in a while - not sure if that is still working the same way it did. The downside of a separate phone is that you have to charge it.

I've been indulging in a kind of fallow, neglecting my body, the last few months (okay almost six months now). Time to right that ship.

So, can I ask: did ya prune it or swap it? After this happened to me, I’m very curious how others deal with this issue.

I asked Jeff Bezos for a bigger slice of disk for the blockchain volume then ran resize2fs. I want all the blocks!

Did you also run compact db ?

reply

I auto-compact with the default min-age, but LND writes to an oversized and more performant/resilient separate volume. This was problem was bitcoind running out of storage.
