I use TaiChi to enhance my balance and stability, and yes the shaking does make a difference.

i wud download all of his videos; the man clearly gets it, and is a spectacular educator;
i think that at a certain level of Tai Chi mastery, one always moves thru the day and thru life as if practicing a Tai Chi session; i call it the jiggle-wiggle walk - when practiced enuff, the rhythmic shaking will be barely visible!

the chakra regions are intimately related to lymphatics, this is why massage & Tai Chi work as well as simply "shaking out"the flesh, putting legs up the wall, hanging off a bar, etc...
