Disclosure: delusively, they are using Spark. I'm not into gabling, but I particularly liked their latest ad.

Is it all AI? And if it is, did they request permission to use Rick Rubin's and other people's in the video?

For readers interested in learning more about Polymarket, it's probably worth having a look at this article: #1518899

SN could have had a Spark wallet 6+ months ago, but we didn’t want to ship it without a unilateral exit.

I agreed with that decision at the time, but I’m not sure I would make the same decision today.

Wow really? Why is that?

Spark has better trade-offs than custodial lightning, even without a unilateral exit, because it can eventually have one.

reply

Eventually? who has to develop it? Spark or wallet developers?

Doesn’t matter. Eventually is better than never.

I also trust a federation more than a guy who can’t keep his nsec secure, yet somehow runs the most popular custodial lightning wallet.

Do you not see that we’re applying double standards just because one is lightning and the other isn’t? We need to judge everything by the same yardstick, no matter what we call it.

Spark doesn’t compete with non-custodial lightning. It competes with custodial lightning.

reply

Like Strike or Wallet of Satoshi? It matters in the long run. I agree with your federation point. I use liquid all the time. Every day!

Spark is also better than Liquid. Liquid can never have a unilateral exit.

Edit: Ok, it depends on whether the federation in Liquid can also steal your money if they collaborate. I need to look that up.

reply

They can but can’t spark steal as well? Isn’t their tech based upon mercury layer that used state chains? I used to swap coins on Mercury Layer before they shut it down.

Lightning support in Poly market seems like a big win for Spark.

Spark being custody by another name is not great, but lightning deposits on something big like polymarket is impressive.

reply

Misleading: IS NOT Lightning. Is a damn sidechain faking lightning payments with submarine swaps.

You can't bet with BTC. They will just convert it to USDC.

reply

The benefit of using bitcoin for betting is getting paid out in bitcoin terms at the end. As is, your potential payout just loses value over time

reply

We should be finding new ways to get people to convert USD to Bitcoin not new ways for people to convert their Bitcoin to USD. Although I am kind of surprised they did this.

And the withdraw? Only if KYC'd ?

You can try it out at kutewallet.com
Directly from your wallet, we have it implemented
