If you thought the Bitcoin Treasury company playbook was going away, think again.
Here is Orange Juice (which, I will be honest, is an excellent name for a company).
ORANGE JUICE (www.orangejuice.com) today announced it had raised $40 million to launch a company that will acquire, improve and permanently own American businesses. The company combines long-term ownership, operational improvement and a Bitcoin treasury.
I also like their website:
It looks like it is basically the people behind egodeath capital: jeff booth, lyn alden, andi pitt, etc, plus the Mexican Bitcoin guy:
Ricardo Salinas, the Mexican founder and chairman of Grupo Salinas, is participating as anchor investor.
They will distinguish themselves by acquiring cash-flowing businesses (a very novel idea in the Bitcoin treasury space):
ORANGE JUICE will initially acquire stable, cash-flow-generating businesses with $1 million to $10 million in annual cash flow across a range of sectors.
Acquired businesses will maintain their identities. Founders may retire, continue leading their businesses or transition gradually over time. Sellers receive part of their consideration in ORANGE JUICE equity, enabling continued participation in the long-term upside.
Cash generated by the businesses will be reinvested into acquisitions or the Bitcoin treasury, with conservative use of leverage and capital markets.
If you have a business you'd like them to buy, consider sending their produce department an email:
Business owners, investors and prospective partners can learn more at orangejuice.com or contact produce@orangejuice.com.
Glad to see someone getting back to the basics, cashflow and retained earnings in bitcoin!
The selling vol to the market play has clearly not worked out for most of the MSTR copycats
I like this idea.
I agree. I hope this doesn't get lumped in with all the bullshit treasury companies. In fact, I know a few owners of solid, cash flowing businesses who might be interested. I'm sure ego death guys would be open to arrangements beyond straight acquisitions for the right situation.
It's essentially a PE fund with a bitcoin strategy.
And AI. AI will solve all the problems in your business first, then you make sweet profits, then you convert that to Bitcoin, then 🚀
I do think integrating AI into small and medium size businesses is a good idea. Most of these types of businesses are not very innovative and run by set in their ways owners.
Yes, plus you get some scale for generic things.
yahz. We need a new term for them... they're just good old regular businesses using bitcoin for saving excess profits. Nobody can object to that, eh!
oh nooooeees! I've been working so hard ridiculing them #1519091... they were going away, closing up shop one after another.
Two steps forward, one step back
also, 40m is _a tiny amount_ in this world. Unsure what sorts of mom-and-pop businesses they're gonna acquire?

from Lyn's recount...
THAT's exciting. A Buffett vehicle for the bitcoin age
Hahaha 😂
Yeah I also like the name!
Combining long-term business acquisition with a Bitcoin treasury is a powerful playbook. Having a powerhouse team like Jeff Booth, Lyn Alden, and Salinas behind it makes it even more compelling.
Why exactly is this a power house team?
it has everything needed to succeed. They have top economic experts to protect the money, experienced tech builders to run the businesses, and rich investors to provide heavy funding. It is a rare mix of great skills and big capital.
And they will use AI to completely upgrade how these companies operate.
That's why I called it power house team.
They got the juice they need to send me a squirt
they didn't like the Bitcoin Treasury company playbook so they ripped it up and started again
They need to concentrate on squeezing every drop of revenue into stacking
Also wouldn't Satsumas work aswell 🍊🍊
