But this term, I have adopted / embraced a routine of marking my fourth graders’ spelling attempts on the same day I test them on the unfamiliar / unknown words.
This non-urgent task literally takes up / consumes all my free periods, and I get nothing else accomplished / completed on Fridays.
But I find that I don’t get a nagging / gnawing heartache about how I ought to do more for my fourth graders. This empowers me to stride toward the weekend with boosted / renewed energy.
