No matter how legitimate the reasons might seem for going to war, the results are always horrific, and wars rarely, if ever, accomplish their stated purposes.

This is just disillusionment with the evil statist wars of the 20th century. There is such thing as a voluntary heroic war.

There's such a thing as heroic vigilantism

Of course, but at some point somehow you need to get hundreds of millions of people aiming in the same direction, otherwise you just lose.

I don't want to be reincarnated just to smash cameras every time for nothing. I want the cameras to not get built in the first place. Our philosophy deserves to govern and our clique has an objective right to seize a monopoly on global violence for the good of civilization.

We’re nowhere near those hundreds of millions, so we’re nowhere near plausible monopoly of violence takeover.

Peaceful noncompliance and parallelism are much better tools.

We have hundreds of millions in passive support including heavily armed militias, we have a currency that has already reached nation-state and corporate level adoption, we have a sympathetic executive branch and foreign backing, we have a morally superior ideology, we have a historical precedent and geographic advantage, and we have communist rebels making the first moves.

We can't afford to pardon the turkey this year. It is high time for the Landlord's Liberation Army to reclaim New York in the name of Laissez-Faire Capitalism and deliver the enemies of civilization to the guillotine. It's self-defense. This is the peaceful route, brother. It's the Final Peace.

Yet America seems to Pay defense contractors and the military personnel very very well.

It’s sad to see but the capital used to kill other humans is bonkers

reply

It's a very strange kind of special interest because they could be spending that money on defensive buildup, which would be more popular and wouldn't slaughter people all over the globe.

So, who is the slaughtering being done for? I don't know the entire answer but it's an important question that doesn't get much attention (until lately with Israel).

reply

I been watching a lot of CIA shows on Paramount + and I think intelligence apparatus leads to the whole “I’m defending American lives “ hero complex which justifies blowing up people across the globe. While squandering the ideals of republicanism.

Why it’s hard to take this government seriously.
