pull down to refresh

I do sometimes put on some Cuban music to listen to and reminisce, but to be honest, I don't regret leaving Cuba, nor do I regret it. Just being able to leave and buy bread without worrying about whether there will be any is a victory for me, and the future my children will have won't be one of misery; it brings me peace of mind. The hardest part is always them growing up far from their grandparents and other relatives; giving them a somewhat "solitary" life is truly the most difficult thing. Otherwise, I don't miss the poverty.

onward and forward then!
