KD is the worst one I can think of. Maybe other sports have good candidates, though.
Malone and Payton were too old to count for this. It was a little sad but they were both passed being able to carry a contender.
I don’t remember thinking much of Barkley’s move. It seems to fit though.
Barkley i remember the chasing ring aura on the move, Malone was really just as a link with past week, he tried until the end to not be in the gloat company
Part of why Barkley feels different is that nobody thinks of those Rockets as a particularly great team.
