I saw this post where someone was complaining that they couldn't spend their non-kyc bitcoin::

Still working on my taxes this time of year with all the transaction complexity and audit uncertainty... why did I go all in on Bitcoin if I can't even spend it? Is this a good problem to have? Spent the first few years acquiring non-kyc but no one accepts it

Has this ever happened to you?

Liquid peg-out UTXO, sent to ZeroHash for conversion and deposit at a KYC USD-based service. Something went wrong, please contact support. Please provide dox. Sorry, we cannot accept your coins and cannot tell you why. Please provide a new return address and take them back. We are not asking any questions about the coins at this time but may have questions if you deposit more from the same source later. (Returned coins had no on-chain relationship with the original UTXO.)

This has literally never happened to me, and every UTXO I spend is a coinjoin output.

To be fair, I spend most of my sats through Lightning/Ark. But those guys don't have issues with coinjoins either.

I don't use centralized exchanges (most of my off-ramps come from Bisq), but I never had any issue with merchants on the Internet. And I only spend coinjoined UTXOs.

I had Kraken disallowing me from depositing via Lightning Network, despite having a direct channel with them (with active usage). Something about European legislation. Bah.

From what I've seen they'll let you do your business and then ban you after. They can then look ok to compliance while still making that cash.

Not yet! If/when it does happen to me I'll be pissed and it will strengthen me as a bitcoiner because i'll be further motivated to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Doesn’t happen. The author is probably confusing things.

Coinjoined UTXOs have been rejected by brokers though. With a couple of Lightning hops shouldn’t be an issue anymore though.

Yes!

Trocador App rejected a Samurai conjoined utxo. They sent it back to the same address.

Not so far, but I feel that could be coming soon.
