I feel like that is going to become a more common saying on the web in the near future.
Not gonna lie, my first instinct was "oh please, no, not that."
But then again, if the bot is indeed right, why would I be miffed about it? Because it was "righter" than a human?
Humans are wrong all the time and we have no qualms when another one corrects them. Why do I cringe at the thought that bots could get it right more often?
My short answer: Who the heck knows. Maybe I am a special snowflake after all.
I agree too - I won't sign up for X. The bot used to fix that. The fix got fucked because it depends on permission. Now the bot berates posters instead of helping those that don't have an X account.
The point was made by @nerd2ninja, here: #1555006. We can have the discussion there. If you think it isn't visible enough, start a post. It doesn't need to be C&P'd under all the posts by the bot though, that is spam itself.

If you want to be informed first use X. stacker.news is a content aggregator with maybe 12 active users. I don't care about any of their opinions of a more successful social media. If roman storm posts on stacker.news then I'll give a shit what @nitter has to say.

That's the second issue here - the bot not only berated you with some preset text, it berated you in error.
"X links are spam", sure whatever. So are all the paywalls, the scam promotions, the drama, the endless podcast bullshit, the news... basically nearly everything we see, also on SN. The comments are sometimes useful.
Repeated bot messages are spam too though. Fighting fire with even more retarded fire. This bot used to be useful. Now it is some activist tool that tries to make posters feel guilty, so it is muted for me now. Somehow the SN popo is back at it and I'm not having it. I regret commenting to it though.

I get that it's annoying, so I'm with you on muting me, but I think it's a valuable reminder that most discussion happens inside a walled garden, and users don't even realize.
It's not just for the OP to read; it's for everyone to read. It's nice that @Scoresby puts in the effort to copy the content from Twitter, but this just proves my point. It's ridiculous that he has to do that. And the replies are still hidden. So the discussion itself, the most valuable part of Twitter, is STILL not accessible.
