Seriously, are we really going to play that argument? If you're getting your income in the US or any country with a tax system, you're subject to that tax system, period. Trying to play the, self-liberated card might sound good for social media, but it means nothing legally. Don't like be taxed, move out.
Why can't people have independent judgement and point out the injustices in the system they're subjected to? Where did this bizarre obligation to agree with what's done to us come from?
There wouldn't even be an America, if people just bent over and took it the way you think we should.
I never said you had to like it. Personally, I hate handing over close to 30% of my income every year over to a government that is only consistent at doing dumb things. But it is a legal requirement or I end up in jail, simply put. Legal compliance doesn't infer loyalty, as some agencies would like you to believe these days.
I'm not disagreeing with whether things are or are not legal requirements. This was a discussion about what is justly owned by who. What the state decrees is irrelevant to that discussion, unless you completely outsource your judgement to it.

You have that freedom. You CAN go live elsewhere and avoid paying into a system paying pensions here. Of course, that might mean you become the immigrant somewhere else and deal with that too, in addition to whatever tax system they have. Grass might not be greener on the other side, or... it might be. Only you know what works for you.
I also have the freedom to stay and point out how people are being expropriated by the state.
