I think it would be useful to include both the city’s history and the reasons behind its growth. For example, when was it founded, how did it develop over time, and what caused the population to increase or people to migrate there? Was that growth mainly driven by factories and industrial jobs, by agriculture, by trade, or by something else? You could also include population changes, migration patterns, housing costs, employment, transportation, and quality of life. That way the project would show not only how the city changed, but also why it changed.
