The nice thing about history is that it doesn't judge on month-to-month timeframes. It sees the combined end results of decades of work, of which any one war is only a fraction.

Yes, this is how war works. The strait was peaceful but now there are mines and bombs everywhere so trade is more difficult.
That's not sufficient reason to allow the IRGC to continue ruling over Iran for all eternity.
