I think there's already a 3rd party app for the umbrel node that you can install, haven't yet heard any of the node software apart from mynode promote this option yet, and I agree, let the market demand play out, if more people are running this software it only forces ordinal users to either centralise around services or run their own nodes

Good article. It seems like a pretty harmless way to register a protest vote. Also, if a company such as umbrel created an app for your average node runner it might make a real difference.
