pull down to refresh

I always try to eat well. We all love cooking in my house and don't eat out that much unless it's for a special occasion or to give our kid a change from our own cooking. For the most part though, when we eat out we often feel we could have done a better job ourselves. Grocery shopping is a challenge these days though with prices being on the increase. We visit a lot of farm stands in the summer which always feels good, especially when the corn and peaches are so delicious. We aren't exclusively organic, just organic where it counts – avoiding the 'Dirty Dozen' and being aware of the 'Clean Fifteen'. We also have a really great vegetable garden, thanks to my wife. Right now there's an accidental tomato plant growing out of the compost that has yielded more tomatoes than the actual intentional tomatoes we grew. There's a snake that lives under the compost too. It keeps the vole population down!
