Should owners get in the habit of increasing fees whenever there's lots of drama?
When I did that re: bot spam, it also significantly hurt non-bots with non-spam. So I let go of that idea after the experiment, simply because it's a double edged sword. It can perhaps be a lockdown thing, but that is only useful for a very short time, and I don't think it scares anyone.
I'm going to be a real gradualist about it. When I see a drama spike, I'll just bump the fees up by a sat.

top by satsalso factors in boosts, so it is skewed because that means you're selling the top spot to the highest bidder regardless of reception. And if you remove both boosts and downzaps, then there is an incentive to sybil zap. I don't think that within the current system anything can be removed?yeah, should get rid of boosts too. As for sybil zapping, there's already a 70% incentive to sybil zap versus boost. Anyone who was willing to do that was gonna do it anyway.
I think this would help me find good posts that don't show up in LIT or TOP because of downzaps, but without having to wade through
top by downsatsI know k00b likes to keep it simple, but I do think there should be easier to access custom feeds like that.
I also think a version of LIT should incorporate trust and stop being the same for everyone.
I'm not asking for custom feeds or anything complex... just think a zaps-only feed makes a lot of sense, given what we've experienced.
Sure, that's very simple but there are other feeds people want too.
Ultimately, I think the trick will be figuring out how to provide more options without cluttering up the aesthetic of the site.
