Or is it just a feature request for SN?
I think the consensus was that a Subreddit style feature would thin out the community too much now but is something that will come for sure in the future. A QnA Subreddit about programming and IT is definitely one of the first I would like to see for sure.

It was other subject subs that I think would thin things out, not alternative post types/economies ... ~jobs is implemented as a sub. We'll probably doing the mailing lists next, but perhaps after that we'll do QnA.

I had built getanswer.app a few years ago - same concept - no traction. Could be more successful as part of SN and maybe more of a direct Q&A version.

I tried soldirac for this. Unfortunately the website didn't get a big traction or any advertisers, so I consider it dead more or less.

I'm pretty sure stackoverflow already has some sort of bounty system so I think it would be way better with bitcoin involved
