I don't log in often, and when I do the notification list is extensive, need to click on "more" to keep scrolling. I probably miss mentions and other relevant notifications. A filter by type (mentions/zaps/new post/new comment/etc.) would help.

That's exactly what I mean. A simple dropdown would help.
