This reminds me of the teaser for Detach. I watched the full short a few months ago at a techies event in my city. It's a French short by Danielle Kaganov. In the film, the surgical robot operates remotely/nvisible hands at a distance, just like this surgeon in Nigeria, operating from 500 km away, the difference is that in the short, the robot realizes who's controlling it.
