Some time ago I shared this post about saving the sats I earn on Stacker News for my first Lightning channel.
Some time has passed since then. I have not reached the amount I need for the Lightning channel yet. But during this time I saw how much support I received from Stacker News users and Stacker News administrators. I want to thank everyone separately for that.
I am very happy that I have made some progress on the goal I started with. Hopefully I will reach my target. When that happens I will also share the Lightning setup process here. While researching all this I also learned about Lightning.Pub. I am still learning about setting up and running Lightning too. Learning is one part of it. In the end the project can only really start when there are enough sats for it. So I am continuing with the same goal. I just wanted to share this small update and let you know how things are going. Thank you all for your support.
**Note:**Both here and through my own research I also realized how many things I still do not know about the Lightning Network.

how many sats is the target for the first channel
From what I have researched and learned so far. It seems like 100,000 sats is needed to get started.
100k sats is a solid target. respect for doing the homework before jumping in, hope the channel opens smooth
