This was the founding ideology of the American Revolution. It won us the majority of the continent and enabled advancements in science and peaceful commerce that were historically unprecedented.

Nobody likes or wants to support brutal tyranny - it is not healthy or sustainable and eventually it is overthrown.

Selfishness is the precise of opposite of tyranny. It's an insistence that the life of a single individual matters, and the needs of "society" do not.

This is incompatible with the PRC's vision of altruistic sacrifice for a collective at the individual's expense, and that's why you don't like it, and would prefer it be contained or eliminated. But it can't be. Individuals exist and their natural inclination is to strive for their own survival. The ones who do are the most effective in whatever realm of life to which they set their mind. The collective is an abstraction made up in academic circles. It requires constant maintenance, constant pointless and expensive arrests and torture, to be kept in line with the party's ideology.

You can insist all you want that the US is the one acting tyrannically. It isn't. I refer you again to the scoreboard in Iran. The Iranian government has killed more Iranian civilians than the US government. So the IRGC is not at war with the US at all. It's at war with Iranians, with a fraction of the US backing the Iranians.
