Effects of climate change

  1. as temperature increases, time taken for mosquitoes to become an adult decreases
  2. as temperature increases, more male crocodile hatchings and more male lizards will be hatched.
Less females to mate with. So, less offspring will be produced
  3. as temperature increases, more female turtle hatchlings hatched.
Less male turtles to mate with.
    Less offspring will be produced.

This is why the climate change discussion is so obnoxious. They present these comparative static analyses (other things equal), to freak people out, that obviously leave out so many other relevant factors that also change.

For instance, reptiles live in the warmer parts of the Earth, with much of the land mass being too cold for them. As temperatures warm, their habitable area increases and their food supply increases, so their populations actually increase. That's why, when the Earth was much warmer than it is today, every single ecosystem was dominated by reptiles.

If you actually think scientifically, you can ask yourself if their hypotheses withstand the scrutiny of the evidence we already have.

I think you told me something similar in one of my other posts. about how we should take the evolutionary behaviours of animals into account. My post is the narrative being spun in our national science curriculum

I don't doubt it. My problem is with how these claims are presented as established facts, rather than known relationships that present a hypothesis to be explored. Simply receiving a list of facts from authority figures and being told to believe them is the precise opposite of science.
