I wrote a new guide about mobile devices that should be used with Bitcoin apps.
Some of my readers asked me:
Darth, what kind of mobile are you using with your bitcoins?
Is not a very technical detailed guide, is more to give some general indications to new users, to those users that now are joining into Bitcoin world and are still using those full of bloatware devices...

I like Graphene OS but isn't it strange that to degoogle the system you need a Google pixel phone?
What about PinePhone Pro that uses Linux? It has a bridge to run android apps too. It could be interesting to try.

It's because the Pixel is unique in that it allows the bootloader to be relocked with a custom ROM so the same level of boot verification and other firmware level security can stay activated. No other phone lets you do that.
It is ironic that Google are the only ones who do though, yes.
GrapheneOS is great btw. I got a Pixel 6 Pro running it, my girlfriend (completely non-techie) has a Pixel 6a running it, neither of us has had a single issue using it.
I obviously did install it and set it up for my gf before I gave her the phone, but since then it's just worked like a normal Android phone.

Indeed, any other device that you can install a clean open OS is a step forward towards your freedom.
