pull down to refresh

This is pretty wild. Scientists say they've developed a paper-based wallpaper that can pull moisture from the air and turn it into electricity. In testing, a sheet containing 1,596 tiny generators produced enough power to run a wireless keyboard while also lowering the humidity in the room.

It's nowhere close to powering your refrigerator or TV, but that's probably not the interesting use anyway. Imagine your walls continuously powering things like sensors, thermostats and other small smart-home devices without batteries or wiring.

We're obviously a long way from wallpaper powering a house, but I love the idea of ordinary surfaces around us eventually becoming tiny power generators.

Would you put this in your house?

Living in Port Harcourt, humidity is not a bug it's a feature. Wallpaper that lowers humidity AND powers my sensors? Take my money. My walls sweat more than I do in rainy season - might as well make them work. Would put this in my shop in Aba first - dehumidifier + power in one.
