Ouch... I was gonna say something about nobody paying attention or actually learning from you/academics... Just a handful of intellectually curious and dedicated folks. The "masses" just wanna pass the exam and get the diploma

These academic backwaters are still teaching generations of kids.

And it's worse than you think because sometimes the academics themselves are able to hold nuanced views, and willing to grant you ground when you push back, and admit weaknesses of their views.  But often the kids that they teach don't inherit any of that nuance.
