Zap desktop is using neutrino to sync blocks. Check documentation about BIP 157.
Is not taking too much space.
That's why is also used by Blixt node on mobile to run a full LND node like Zap is doing on desktop.
Is a more private way to get blocks info than electrum.

Upon installing Zap, it syncs to the blockchain, is it a full sync & download like the core wallet, or just syncing block headers like Electrum does.

For those of you who are already using it, how much space is it taking on your drive?
