The thing about "imperialism" is I don't need you to vote for a puppet party of spies. I can just bomb you until you're politically irrelevant. That's imperialism. A conservative party voting to surrender and peacefully cooperate is not imperialism. That's actually healthy resistance to imperialism, because then you can maintain some semblance of independence.
