Just the latest twitter grift to try and get eyes on him, probably will try to memoryhole it or come up with some random reason why his prediction couldn't happen, and most of the gullible shitcoiners on twitter will eat it up

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I think the outlandish bet had more to do with trying to get Bitcoin to pump so Eth would pump by proxy before the unlock. Balaji has often advocated for 50/50 BTC/ETH portfolio.
Eth whales have been selling spot and longing futures for the past couple months.

I know people say "bitcoin is the stablecoin", but when it's not running, it really does have a magnetic force toward a specific price each cycle. This cycle seems to be ~30k. IIRC, last cycle it was ~13k
