Although I think Adam Curry has been critical of the verbiage of "tipping" as it relates to value for value, I think it fits what you are talking about. I also think the entertaining way that Curry shills for BOOSTS is a perfect example of a great street performers' showmanship, albeit with much greater potential (as you are street performing for the world).
