Valet tries to preserve legacy codebase and maintain it. It has a feature fiat channels, instead of custodial hosted channels. These fiat channels store exchange rate in channel state and allow to create synthetic stablecoins which are liability of the host with which Valet created this fiat channel.
Hosted and fiat channels deliver better privacy than just custodial wallets and may be seen as ecash in Cashu variant.
There are hard times coming since Google changed a lot in api 31 so we are struggling to maintain Valet codebase right now.
