I'm fascinated with the idea of mixing coins, I haven't used it but I will try especially if the fee is low

Give it a go! I would recommend Samourai Wallet. For the ideal setup you would run Dojo (the Samourai Wallet backend) on your own node to avoid sending data to a third party.
If you are going to try it, it's worth looking out for a discount code (known as SCODE) that you enter into your client saving you Whirlpool fees - like the recent one below:

Good common sense tips.
Not sure about using a PO Box though. I’m fairly certain that USPS now requires ID when you rent a box.

Thank you.
That's a fair point that I forgot about when writing - the provider will likely insist on some form of ID. With this you are not protecting against the provider or your government knowing who you are but more your home address being protected in the event of a data leak. I will update the post with a comment.

I’ve wondered about this. I hear people say to use an alias and a PO Box. Is that even possible?

I mean, yeah I use a PO Box and will often use an alias when I order certain things, but in the back of my head I know the post office knows it’s me paying for the box. So I’m not going to be able to hide if the government wants to know who “Satoshi Nakanodo” is.
