I agree Nostr isn't likely a major threat to Twitter. 99 percent of people want a curated feed and don't themselves get banned. However, what else a decentralized relay protocol can do may be impressive. If absolutely nothing else, Nostr is introducing the idea of zapping real money to other entities, instantly, inside an app. But I think there is a lot more coming. Every day there is a new something with Nostr-- I can't keep up!
It's going to be a new client that innovates on the "dumb server" model but doesn't imitate what has been that will take off. We can't predict the app type, but it's clear from the pace of development that it's coming.
