I would repeat over and over:
- you will need a HW device when your skills with software are weak or zero.
- if you are well enough skilled to manage your seed with software, you have nothing to worry.
Example here:
Using a 3 level stashing strategy will give you more protection than just a piece of HW.
For me personally using a HW is like wearing a diaper on your face, and think that will protect you. Is jut an illusion of protection.
If you feel more "protected", then go ahead use it, I don't care.
But for me personally is useless.
I have nothing against using HW, but people are putting too much importance on them instead of learning how to use bitcoin without.
Bitcoin pushes you to learn more stuff, not to remain dumb.
I am still amazed that even those ledger users still don't know that they can use ledger or any HW with Electrum, Sparrow, Nunchuk, Green, Specter apps, without any proprietary software or leaking personal info.
That means, they didn't even do the minimal effort to learn more than just using ledger live and input the PIN on that device...
PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO READ, they just want to watch tiktok or ask shitGPT.
