I definitely think it has a chance if it moves in the direction of being reddit like. However, I think having a mobile app is a major factor in bringing in more customers. Just my 2 cents...

Lets first get a mobile app and get LN wallets to integrate it like Breez, would also be great if there was more integration with other social like fountain app build a bitcoin ecosystem

I don't think a mobile app is a big deal. The big deal is that we speak mostly about Bitcoin. As long as this is a Bitcoin forum we will only draw from the existing Bitcoin community instead of drawing people from the outside into SN (and thus Bitcoin).
Why not grow outside of Bitcoin conversations?
