Man is it about time Reddit shot itself in the foot with its new API pricing and ban of NSFW?. I still do not find an exodus as it happened to Digg. Seriously the Apollo developer should make its app working with nostr.
Just got back from my first vacation in years. I was at an EDM festival so it wasn't exactly restful but I did get to relax/change pace quite a bit. I got a lot of reading done which I really needed. (Oh and I met one stacker there which I wasn't expecting - they gave me earplugs.)
It was also my first extended stay back in California. The climate and biome is so nice it feels fake (in certain regions at least). I thought I had appreciated it while I was there but I'm pretty sure I took it for granted.
Being around normal, non-bitcoiners was also a nice wake up call. They aren't exactly living in an alternate reality, but they do have an alternate frame/narrative to explain our shared reality.
Excited to be back to Bitcoin World (aka Austin) and code. I feel best when I'm useful even if it isn't "joyful."
The system is more decentralised than centralised at this point anyway. I don't think it's possible, probably one of those things like in engineering where after a certain point continuing with an optimisation gives less benefit (the law of diminishing returns). Megalomaniacs don't like such inconveniences.
I don't see why the money base layer can't be bitcoin. It's decentralised and battle tested and does like the honey badger.
Read a little more about Ark last night, seems very interesting, especially the interoperability with Lightning. Waiting patiently for a DarthCoin writeup
