So you know that guy who stashed $1.5M in gold and jewels, hid it in the Rocky Mountains and wrote a poem that hints how to find it?
What if someone did that with a steel seed backup?
Forest Fenn made literally hundreds of thousands of people go hiking in the Rockies. Lots of people who went searching didn't find the gold but still felt they found treasure.
This could be a great way to orange pill an insane number of people (and bring them out to appreciate nature).
Anyway, I'm thinking I'll put 100k sats on a sats card and do a local treasure hunt in my small town this summer. Get the kids off their screens.
Is not so crazy idea... is doable and fun.
I did that in 2016, also in 2020, but absolutely NOBODY took the treasure. And was on a quite known mountain trail. People are retarded, or lazy or ignorant or simply NPCs.
Here I put in 2016 a seed phrase hidden under a rock, right where the sign indicated. I don't know maybe people didn't look right there and they just go further thinking that is in another place down the trail. half BTC up to grab, but nobody want it 😂
Here I left 2 pieces of paper with 100k sats each in a LNURL. Even today these treasures are there. I go to check them quite often for a walk, but are untouched. I also check the wallets, are not withdrawn.
But yes, few years ago I did a game for kids, hiding into the woods seed phrases, QR codes, puzzles, to end up reaching to BTC treasures. Kids really enjoy that game, especially that was about to earn moeny.

Wow! I'm impressed! Unlike FB I can press the like button multiple times..

Be careful how many times you press the ⚡️ button. Each time will cost you 1 sat 😂

If those treasures are still there, any chances of you writing a little poem explaining where? Try to include exact coordinates.

Hmm, good idea for the kids. I'm sure they'll enjoy it.
You could also register with a geocache site, find a cache and leave some sats (with instructions) for the next hunter.
However, your broader idea sounds pretty awesome!
