"Lightning Network Bitcoin transfers reduce the carbon footprint of the transaction as bitcoin miners are not needed to validate."
Sigh ...
The narrative from central bankers, nocoiners, shitcoiners, environmentalists, et. al is pervasive (and wrong)
I facepalmed so hard when I saw that

I know it’s bullshit but at this point it’s kinda what we need. The mainstream is not going to be able to understand the nuances of PoW & miner incentives so it’s probably for the best to just make blanket statements like, “lightning offsets bitcoins energy footprint” fuck em.

Then the words to use are:
Lightning network is a technology that permits bitcoin to scale. This enables us to have most deposits and withdrawals occur promptly and at nearly no cost.
That's all that's needed from a Robin Hood / exchange to say about it.
If someone says "What about ... mining" or whatever, well then you go into further details.
Robin Hood was trying to score points, and whomever wrote and whomever approved that blog post, well they were uninformed about that which they were writing and publishing.
