The biggest problem is corruption. Corruption is what devours the institutions, what devours the hope of having a prosperous future, [and] is the biggest enemy for prosperity and economic freedom. If every person can be their own bank, I'ld much rather just deal with bitcoin.

We believe [bitcoin] is a technology that we have to expand to the entire continent. It is an opportunity for us as Africans to have a currency that is not based on colonialism, where you can move from Togo to Ghana, to Nigeria and Kenya, [and] have your money keep its value.
