Hello all! This is my first time using stacker news, and honestly I'm not exactly a Bitcoin savant. That being said, I believe that there is room for a coin like this to move into the film industry at a low level. I have just finished a screenplay I am moving to direct, and would like to bring on a gaffer, D.P., etc. My question is has anyone used or seen someone use Bitcoin as a form of payment in a more, "industry" environment?

yes, there are some usecases, mostly crowdfunding as mentioned above.
We're trying to explore and identify such situations and overlap bitcoin X movies with Bitcoin FilmFest.

Do you refers to get some BTC to fund the project or that the audience pay the ticket in BTC?

industry as in?
in person I've witnessed countless Bitcoin transactions for goods and services. books, video games, food, tips, cash, taxi fairs, you name it, there has been a Bitcoin transaction for it.
nowadays these in person transactions are quickest over Bitcoin's lightning network, as it's pretty much instant and free(very small fees). But people still use Bitcoin's base layer to do the same kinds of transactions, they can take longer though (10 minutes on avg with a high fee).
