Title, but what do you do other than informing people in order to help them understand being that BTC can be a bit daunting?
If someone offers to pay me in beer or pizza for a favour, I tell them I'd take half that value if it was in bitcoin. I've had one or two people take me up on it. Friends mostly.

I pay with bitcoin if possible and tell people they can pay me back in bitcoin with a discount.
I also try to learn as much as possible about bitcoin so I can answer any question that may come up as good as possible (or point them to good resources). I also try to "lead by example" by working in this space now without talking too much about it. I only mention it when it fits the situation and wait if I spark some interest. If not, also good. They might remember me in the next years and know who they might ask if they want to know more.
I also gifted some bitcoin using seed words to some people but they have to do proof of work by researching how to access the bitcoin

love the idea of gifting seed words. been working on orange pilling my sister and i think i'll give her a seed phrase from a BIP85 child wallet for her birthday this year
thank you for the idea :)
reply
no worries
consider taking a backup so you can still give them access if they lose their seed words. the idea is that they have to create a own wallet to transfer the bitcoins to their own wallet where only they know the seed words

I send birthday gifts in the form of Bitcoin to my family

Once the initial pleasantries are out of the way and if they already realize Bitcoin is an actual thing that wont go away any time soon, informing them that there are only ~250,000 Satoshis available for every person in the world / on average / I think goes a really long way. Now they’re thinking about it in terms of a disaster insurance policy, if nothing else, and you probably have a free call option of sorts, since FOMO may very likely kick in for them to some degree. This influences them to pay more attention and learn more about it.
For $75 USD today you can make sure you’re at least as well off as the next guy in the event a terrible scenario plays out. Presenting it like “the cheapest insurance policy of all time” seems to get through to a lot of people for me.

When I talk to crypto-bros I calmly talk with them and usually they kinda agree that non bitcoin projects are a bit of a scam, or at least it's just to grab some money and run.
One of the questions I usually ask is "Why not use Bitcoin instead?" and that kinda evolves into they realizing the scam eventually.
For fiat-bros, I don't really talk about Bitcoin unless asked directly.

I've realised how much of a context problem it is for people to get the very "opposite" of our norm as regards to how money works, but trying to not force it. I try to ensure I include "oh also, btw, good news! things should be getting a lot better".
Exposure over time helps. I think.

I always give the option to charge with Bitcoin.

I am of the belief that it takes a village.
So I start by scoping out a town that I think is primed to seek an escape in the first place. No use arguing with people who don't want to listen afterall. Then, I find the people who are ready to hear it, then I give them a book (I like this book by a Filipino author: https://florin.hilbay.net/)
Lessons learned: Anything that would suggest distrust in authority, will be perceived as a conspiracy. So try to explain things in a way that don't require distrust in authority. I have a lot of memes and clips and short hand explanations that I'd love to share, but can't, because I know its just too much too quickly. Instead, I opt for a simple explanation of what the Cantillon effect is.
Small towns work this way. The communications network propagates quickly. People will explain things to each other in a down to earth way. Understand this down to earth way of speaking and you will go far.

🟠🟣⚡️📖🫡 🐐. People are always sceptics when talks money and usually consider something Bombastic. As for me i have ard 20s friends in my telegram group who likes reading. For them i tried to send 5-10 articles to read in a week to get inside on Bitcoins. But with Internet adoption, many preferred watching clips over reading.
