Who is the second greatest Bitcoiner of all time?
The greatest Bitcoiner of all time has to go to Satoshi Nakamoto. He was the driving force behind the development of this trustless and decentralised currency. His influence is so pervasive that a chatbot called “Talk2Satoshi” was recently launched.
But who in your opinion is the second greatest Bitcoiner of all time?
Is it Michael Saylor? He keeps snapping up Bitcoin. MicroStrategy recently announced the purchase of an additional 12,333 BTC. It now controls 0.726% of the total available supply. He could be attributed to stimulating institutional interest in our blue chip crypto.
Is it Jack Dorsey? He has been generous in donating money to fund BTC-related projects: 14 BTC towards Nostr and $10 million towards OpenSats. His monetary donations help many developers focus their energies on their work since they don’t have to worry so much about their livelihood.
Or is it Andreas Antonopoulos? He is most famous for giving an informative and impassioned presentation on BTC during Bitcoin Foundation’s San Jose Bitcoin Conference - even though the room was largely empty. Many Bitcoiners argue that he is the most persuasive Bitcoin educator out there.
Or would you cast your vote to another Bitcoiner? And why?
Hal Finney for running bitcoin

Yes. He did a lot for Bitcoin

I enjoy browsing through the thoughts of the OGs. Back before Bitcoin barely had a price, you had to either be a genius or outright insane to recognise its potential.
Hal Finney, Greg Maxwell, and Adam Back spring to mind.

Hal Finney
And I know who it could have been; Tim Draper, Roger Ver…… Some rise and most fall.

For me it’s got to be one of the earlier programmers and visionaries so I’d say Hal Finney.

I vote for Ross Ulbricht

There is no second best. It’s Satoshi and the rest of us
reply
"...There is no second best..." :-) M. Saylor

Hal Finney. Even if he really was Satoshi.

Ross Ulbricht, also known as the Dread Pirate Roberts, who founded the Silk Road, a dark-web marketplace that used Bitcoin as its central form of payment and pushed the cryptocurrency further into the mainstream. Unfortunately, he is serving double life sentences. Free Ross.

My first reaction was: don't have heroes, they just end up disappointing you eventually.
Then Hal came to mind, and he's definitely number 2 (at least in my mind) closely behind Satoshi.
