I was on the dread and a discussion was going on regarding the download of Monero Blockchain. It was something like 166GB of data mentioned there. When searched over google, it mainly said "It allows you not to trust anybody" and some other privacy related stuff.

Is it just for privacy related blockchains (XMR, LTC etc.) or something like public blockchains as well like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc? Maybe a nooby question, maybe not...🌩️⚡
