Looks great.
I think from a product view, the major selling point is that you’re able to charge much less than the typical $5 minimum that fiat services typically require.
But why only let them keep 90%? Seems like with Lightning, this website could let creators keep even more and still be profitable! Regardless, you should include a competitor analysis somewhere. Compare to Patreon, Gumroad, Substack in terms of how much of a cut they take vs you.
edit: oh also!! you should include a bitcoin fiat on-ramp during the sign up process for the backers.

Agreed. If I’m an OnlyFans creator, why should I use this service instead? The benefit difference of using stabackr should be obvious and explicit. The way it is, I want to go compare it with my other options. For Bitcoiners, using Bitcoin is enough, but it seems like you’re trying to appeal to a wider audience.

Using porn as a comparison is a bad move imo. Even if you like porn (i dont), you are immediately putting yourself in a ghetto and alienating a large chunk of potential users.
But you’re right about bitcoiners automatically liking this! No coiners can be converted simply by looking at the benefits though. You keep more money and can even charge fractions of a dollar for content.
Provide fiat on and off ramps and then the users don’t need to even be bothered that they’re using bitcoin.

just testing the site but a few questions:
- why have to login to tip someone?
- if I have to login, would you add lightning to login?, just like stacker.news.

This is a great point. One obvious way using Bitcoin would allow you to differentiate is that I can pay for a piece of content without creating an account. You only need to know that a payment arrived.

You still need a way to tie the payment proof with the user though. So they need some kind of account known to the app.
Maybe that means that the app should just use wallet IDs as the most base ID type?

Not necessarily. You could just store a cookie or something that gives them access to the content. If they want forever access from any device perhaps they’d require an account (or just let them download it).

tbh this is where something like RGB / Taro could come in. give them an access token in their wallet. offload almost all user account behavior to wallets. less liability on the web app owners
