Since this site seems to be all about experimenting and I don't know where else to ask: is it possible to create say a multisig wallet where some or all signers are themselves multisig?

I’m not at my computer to find an article on this but I believe this is what large custodians like exchanges do.

Oh that makes total sense. I'm happy that this possibility exists and I wonder how having a straight-forward UI could help neighborhoods or communities setup local bitcoin treasuries with multisigs which could then be used for separate multisig wallets for larger projects across multiple communities. Lots to think about in terms of game theory and how different multisig schemes could affect political dynamics...
Awesome site by the way :)
Haven't looked into that much, and not sure what the goal is for "multi-multi-sig", but in a lot of ways isn't this part of what sidechains want to do--make the things you can do with a group of sigs more robust. Also, isn't a a major issue with this the size of the transaction increasing, thus leading to potential problems with block sizes and transaction fees for, say, some type of federation? If you reason you want multi-multi sig is for collaborating (various use cases within the realm of collaboration here: https://utxos.org/uses/ ) it would be more efficient if something like OP_CTV were used, for example, right?
