I used to go indoor climbing quite regularly for a year or two with a friend of mine when we were still studying together. We did take the top rope course together and also wanted to learn lead climbing after 1-2 years of top rope experience. We also went bouldering with more friends. That was the most fun I had in my life while doing sports and I've also noticed quite some progress over time. I also liked how you had to trust each other with your life. It's a rare bonding experience.
But then we both moved away and now I have no one to climb with anymore. I went bouldering for a few months in this new city but then the periodic lockdowns killed my habit. Very sad
Now I try to lose some weight before I try to hit the bouldering gym again. I tried it a few times already but I get very tired fast now so it's not worth to pay the entry (which also increased over time thanks to inflation). So I think with less weight I can try to get into bouldering again
