It might be that I was never a good enough pitcher to really appreciate it. 

I can kind of imagine the feeling I'd get from fooling a batter with a brilliant pitch, but it's more abstract to me than thinking about absolutely lacing a ball out of the stadium.

I think most people would prefer to crush a 500ft homer but I love pitching. I am just amazed at the power and spin these guys can generate.

On your specific debate, I'd prefer to be able to hit a 500ft ball. When I played baseball, I always found a great hit far more satisfying than a great throw.

I was generally able to do most things at a high enough level to enjoy it, but having the court vision and passing ability of Magic or Jokic would be amazing. I've always played point guard and love play-making, but I definitely can't do anything like that.
